April Ipsy Beauty Rocks Glam Bag

So this was going to be posted on Friday but I forgot to take individual pictures so now its today instead!

This month I was so excited to get my glam bag!  I can’t even begin to tell you.   First off- I COULD ACTUALLY USE EVERYTHING!!!  I had been really hoping for the Urban Decay Glide-On Pencil, and I’d seen the lolli tint in store and was curious about it!  I love lashes so why not!  The rest were just bonuses!

Lolli TintFor starters the Lolli tint by Benefit is really great.  Its very liquidy and all you have to do is dab a couple of lines on your cheek and then blend with either a finger or a brush.  I prefer a brush, but both work.  It blends beautifully and its the perfect shade to give you that slightly flush look.  I love it.  The packaging says it can also be used on lips, and although it made my lips super soft the color was nonexistent on my lips.  I’ll stick to the cheeks, and I definitely intend on buying this when I run out.White Gold1

My biggest surprise was the City Color White Gold shadow and highlighter moose.  I loved the texture of this!  Unlike most cream shadows/highlighters it wasn’t a dense cream.  Instead its a light and fluffy texture that feels like air when you apply it.  Plus its a beautiful shade.  My only disappointment is that I wanted to buy it in more colors but its only available in this one.

CaylinThe Cailyn tinted lip balm in Acid Pink is shocking to say the least!  But, I love it!  Its not something I would wear all the time, but it is something I’d gravitate towards on occasion when I’m feeling feisty (although Nick would probably say that’s every day!)  I felt like this acted more like a stain rather than a tinted lip balm.  I tested it on my hand first and that spot stayed there for hours!  Even through multiple washings!  Talk about impressive.  The little brush is handy although I prefer my Real Techniques Retractable lip brush ( it comes to a nicer point).  2 coats of this and you’re set!  It feels like you’re not wearing anything!Lashes

To be completely honest I haven’t had a chance to try out the Kiss lashes yet, but I did take a close look at them.  My only problem with them also happens to be a total perk of them.  The super thin strip!  Although it makes for comfortable wear it doesn’t make for a very easy time removing them from the plastic.  I swear they never keep their shape!  Inevitably I end up having to form them back into the correct shape.  I liked that each lash was tapered.  Pretty cool.

BlackVelvetMy biggest disappointment was the Urban Decay liner…  I really wanted to love this!  I’ve heard nothing but amazing than (currently Nyx and NYC waterproof).  However the disappointment really came from using it in the waterline (inner rim)…  I felt like it didn’t go on very pigmented, although it was build-able.  After 3 coats it was a deep rich color.  However after only a couple hours it seemed to just disappear!  And the inner corner of my eye started to feather from a little watering.  I’ll continue to use the sample, but I for sure won’t be buying it when its gone.

Overall, another great month of Ipsy!  I have to say, I’m very impressed!  I feel for $10 a month you’re getting not only great quality products to try but also really large samples or full size product!  Well worth it for sure.  If you’re ready to get some awesome products to try every month click here to subscribe.
