Hope in a Jar Foundation

HopeInAJarSo I’d been looking for a foundation that I loved, and I did have one that I really liked.  The Tarte Amazonian Clay, however, its a super full coverage, and sometimes its just a little too much.  So I really wanted something more light to medium that was buildable.

I have super dry skin that is currently recovering from a reaction to retionoid (although its a million times better than it was a couple months ago, there are still some pimples popping up occasionally)

When I saw this foundation I was a little excited about it, I like the Hope in a Jar moisturizer, unfortunately my skin is just too dry for it.  I went into Ulta and matched, the girl there was a total sweetheart btw.  Shade 4 was perfect for my light slight yellow undertone skin.  After using it only once, I fell in love!  It still gives your skin a glowing finish, just a little dewy not too much.  It feels so nice on that I forget that I’m wearing it, and it lasts ALL day.

The color range is ok, although if you have very yellow or very pink skin you might have a hard time finding a color that matches.  But if you’re in the neutral, slightly cool or slightly warm you should be able to find a color.  They do have a couple of darker colors but not many, unfortunately they are only available online.

The foundation comes in a 1oz jar with a plastic pump, and will run you about $39.00.  I believe it is an Ulta exclusive, although that may change.
