Radiant Orchid

Hi guys!  I was asked to do a newsletter at work and I decided to do one on color.  I absolutely love the Pantone Color of the Year this year.  I already have incorporated it into my wardrobe and makeup and even a little in our décor (at least a much as Nick is ok with!)  So here is my newsletter-

A great starting point is looking to Leatrice Eiseman from Pantone for their color of the year along with their colors for the season.  This year’s color of the year is Radiant Orchid which is a pinky purple with cool undertones.  Pantone’s idea of the color was that it inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.”  The exact color of Radiant Orchid can vary drastically though froPantone2m person to person to include deep magenta to a muted light purple and anything in between.  Using these color suggestions as a guideline can help you to add pops of color in the form of accessories in any room of the house.  Already loving color?  Maybe a dramatic change like painting a wall bright color could be for you or maybe even painted cabinets.

Pantone9Wondering if Radiant Orchid could fit into your color scheme?  Chances are it easily will.  This great shade of purple complements so many different colors from neutrals like greys, blacks or browns to brights like yellows, blues, greens and teals or muted tones like taupe and olive.  It has the unique ability of bringing together any room into a cohesive look.

If you’ve been toying with the idea of color for some time or just recently wanting a pop to brighten your look I suggest you take a look at what a simple colorful accessory can do for your space.  You’ll never go wrong by following Pantone for some color inspiration.
