So Nick and I love love love pulled pork!  Who doesn’t really?  The problem is we both also love making it!  So this is our way around that, we both do our part to make a delicious meal!  Watch the video below and get the recipe after the jump!

BBQ Pork Recipe

1-2 large pork butts (3-4 lbs each)
heavily season with the following-
-Salt
-Pepper
-Garlic Powder
-Onion Powder
-BBQ Seasoning
2 large onions sliced
1/2-1 cup of chicken broth/stock
1-2 cups of water
1-2 cups of bbq sauce depending on how saucy you like it!

Season pork butts and sear each side of the meat
place 1/2 the onions on the bottom of the crock pot
place the meat on top
add the rest of the onions and the liquids

let cook for 8-10 hours on low or 3-4 on high

When finished remove the pork and shred with a fork (removing excess fat if necessary)
Place all liquids and onions into a pan and reduce down until you have slightly less liquid than onions
add the onion mixture back to the pulled pork, add 1-2 bbq sauce, mix and enjoy!

Coleslaw

1 bag of slaw mix
1 cup of mayo
1-2 tbsp apple cider vinegar (see video for explanation)
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp celery seed (and more to garnish)
salt and pepper

Add mayo, vinegar, sugar and all seasonings to a LARGE bowl and whisk together until well incorporated.

Add the slaw and with tongs toss until well coated.  Garnish with celery seed and enjoy!
